About the event
This workshop will lead participants in a process to explore the relationship between the body and the elements of ether, air, fire, water, and earth. Sounding with the voice and physical holding and sensing the body, informed by chakras, will be transformed into songs and visual maps of the body. (7 CEU’s)
Learning Objectives:
Participants will gain an understanding of the resonances between music and art therapy for embodied healing work.
Participants will explore the variety of tones, colors, and elements of the principle chakras.
Participants will gain a basic understanding of the importance of interoception as a way to understand the central nervous system as it relates to and responds to body-based creative arts therapy practices.
Participants will gain an understanding of the benefits of vocal toning to therapeutic practice.
